This is a fine, well engineered piece of kit.
Delivery truck arrived on time and, being too large for our entrance, unloaded the large, palletised box in the street. The driver pushed it from the lowered tail-lift to our gravelled entrance … which his pallet truck wouldn’t run on. He kindly helped me lift the box (with me on the heavy end) to our garage. 120 kilos?
This kit comes from China and is very well packaged with lots of steel straps bolted together with dozens of nice nuts and bolts…Wear work-gloves! The un-packing process took me about an hour.
Assembling the kart is quite easy and takes half an hour with the right spanners. One of the pre-drilled holes for a roll-bar strut had not been fully drilled. I had to drill it with an undersized metal drillbit as I didn’t have one big enough. This won’t happen generally and was only a small challenge. Apart from that, everything else is very nicely engineered.
The kart is for our 6 year old grandson, Alex, and I tried it out myself first as I was concerned obout safety. Yes, it’s sturdy enough for an adult up to 75 kilos and boy is it fun. However, although you can limit the speed to a stately 6kph – fast walking speed – which is fine for a small kid, the seat does not go far enough forward for a short, 6 year old’s legs. We got round this with cushions.
Alex is delighted with the kart and will be even more excited when we allow him on Medium speed, which he doesn’t know about yet!
I am very pleased with the kart and can see him using it well into his teens in High speed mode… if I haven’t worn it out by then!
Tyres puncture way too easy = 1 disappointed child😔 NOT AN EASY TASK GETTING IT REPAIRED. Told seller who said if your sons punctured it it’s not our fault. We sell new tyres and wheels. Not helpful at all👎
